WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION PLAN UPDATE READY FOR PUBLIC, PLANNING BOARD
The OSRP update addresses natural, recreational and cultural land preservation needs of the Township, and includes an action plan to guide future land stewardship initiatives. The final draft of the document reflects a year-long effort. In addition to the Open Space Advisory Committee, a special review team was convened to provide guidance and input, which included members of the Township Planning Board, Sports Advisory Board, Historic Preservation Commission and the public.
The Open Space Advisory Committee and The Land Conservancy of New Jersey (TLCNJ) will make a presentation on the final draft of the OSRP update at the Planning Board meeting on Tuesday, July 10, at 7:00 pm, followed by an opportunity for public comment. The Planning Board will then decide whether to adopt the Update as an amendment to the Township Master Plan.
The updated document is available for review at http://twp.washington.nj.us/397/Open-Space. Print copies are also available at the Clerk’s Office in the Township Municipal Building (523 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell) and at the Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library (606 Delsea Drive, Sewell).
