The Washington Township Senior Center first opened in August 1992.  You must be at least age 55 and a resident of Washington Township in order to join the Center.  The Senior Center welcomes the Seniors from Washington Township, however, the Senior Center is not a Day Care facility.  Membership Dues for the Center are $5.00 per year. In addition to the activities listed above, you will also find other activities at the Senior Center such as: bingo, bridge, pinochle, aerobics, line dancing, chess, pool and pool tournaments and card game tournaments.

On Monday, Thursday and Friday, there is round trip bus transportation to the Center so the seniors can participate in the activities.  You must call ahead of time to schedule the ride.

Monday - Friday, there is free bus transportation for the seniors to take them to their medical appointments within Camden and Gloucester Counties.  You must call three (3) to five (5) days ahead of time to schedule a ride.  Call Rita at 856-256-0707. Passengers must be ambulatory and able to maneuver on their own.  We can accommodate wheel chairs, walkers and canes.

On Wednesday there is free bus transportation to take the seniors to the various shopping malls.  Call Rita at 856-256-0707 ahead of time to be picked up.  See the Municipal Shuttle Bus Schedule for Mall information.

To join either of the two clubs that meet at the Senior Center, you must be a resident of Washington Township and at least 55 years of age.  The dues for the clubs are $5.00 for each club for the first year of sign up.  When renewing membership for each of the two clubs, you may be eligible for a $1.00 discount.  The two clubs offer Bingo and various card games including Bridge.  For more information about the clubs, speak with a club member or ask Rita.
