Daniel Morley


Possessing a strong financial background, Daniel Morley currently works as a senior financial accountant at a South Jersey benefits facility.  Daniel specializes in financial transactions related to commercial real estate, mortgage banking, and commercial banking.


Daniel earned his Masters Degree in Accounting from Widener University and a Bachelors Degree in Financial Real Estate from Penn State University.


Daniel plans to put his accounting experience to good use on township council. He will reevaluate the municipal budget line-by-line to identify and eliminate waste and redundant expenditures.  Daniel’s expertise will prove an essential asset towards putting our township back on the road to fiscal sanity.


Married since 1997, Daniel and his wife, Julie, live off of Whitman Drive in Turnersville.  Daniel’s stepson, Stephen, graduated from the Washington Township School District and is currently attending Rutgers University – New Brunswick.

Chris Del Borrello


A resident of Washington Township, Chris Del Borrello currently serves the citizens of South Jersey as a Legislative Aide in New Jerseys Fourth Legislative District. Chris handles a wide range of constituent concerns as well as managing legislative functions in Trenton.


Chris has accomplished numerous achievements and degrees in his academic career. He most recently was awarded a Masters Degree in history from West Chester University. While at West Chester, Chris was awarded a graduate student assistantship and his masters thesis, World War II Comic Strips: The Art of The Docu-comic, was selected for presentation at the Harrisburg Tri-Campus Research Symposium.  


He also achieved a Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University in May 2006. While at Rutgers, Chris also double minored in Political Science and Philosophy. Before Rutgers, Chris began his studies at Holy Cross College, Notre Dame, Indiana. He was inducted into the National Honors Society for two year colleges and psychology; Phi Theta Kappa and Psi Beta. He participated in numerous civic and school organizations and was elected Student Government President during the 2003-2004 academic year. Chris graduated from Holy Cross College with high honors.


Chris is liaison to the Historical Commission, the Veterans Advisory Board, and the Zoning Board of Adjustment in Washington Township.


Chris is married to his high school sweetheart, Tricia, and the couple happily reside in the Hunt Club with their 1 year old son, Trevor. Chris and his family attend Holy Family Parish in Sewell where Chris lectors at weekend services.

Giancarlo D'Orazio
Council President

Giancarlo D’Orazio is the owner of a local family owned business “La Gelato LLC”, since 2005.  La Gelato is a company which manufactures and distributes gelato, sorbet, and water ice to restaurants, food markets, and specialty stores. 

He is a substitute Teacher for the Washington Township school district.  He also teaches private classes to people who are interested in speaking, reading and writing the Italian language.

Giancarlo graduated from Pierce Jr. College in 1980 with an Associates Degree in Computer Science and worked for 30 years in the technology field holding such positions as computer operator, programmer/analysis and Director of IT for various financial institutions and manufacturing companies.

Giancarlo also enjoys playing the drums, for pleasure and also for business. He has played in several bands over the years such as  “Gli Atomi”, an Italian wedding band in the late 60’s to mid seventies to currently with “Mirror Mirror”, a classic rock band. 
He has also coached children’s soccer and played soccer himself in Junior High and High School.

He was the past President of the Sons of Italy Club (Brava Gente Lodge) of Washington Township and volunteers to feed the homeless in Camden NJ.
Giancarlo is resident of Washington Township since 1989.

Michelle Martin

Councilwoman Michelle Martin has made Washington Township her home for more than 30 years.  She was elected to fill an unexpired term in November of 2001, then elected again in 2002, 2006 and 2013.  She was nominated in 2008 to serve as President of Council.  Michelle earned a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Rowan University in 1993.  Michelle is an Account Executive with CCS Medical, in the Wound Care Division.  Formerly, she was an Elementary School Teacher where she taught 1st, 3rd and 4th grade in Monroe Township and Gloucester Township .  Michelle is married to husband Paul, a Washington Township Police Officer.  The couple resides in the Township's Gardendale section.  In an effort to further her goals, Michelle is proud to serve the residents of Washington Township .

Council Vice-President

Involved in our community, Scott Newman is a volunteer Baseball and softball coach for the Township’s Parks and
Recreation program. He is also a member of the Washington Township Rotary Club and served as its President. Scott is a Board member of GCF Bank and a former Board member of Holy Family Church.

A 1985 graduate of Washington
Township High School, he graduated from Temple University in 1990 with a B.B.A. degree in Business Administration. Scott is a partner of American Title Abstract Corporation inTurnersville.

Scott Newman will continue to use his business experience and management skills on Township Council to make Township government more cost efficient and accountable.

The township is governed by a Mayor and a five member Municipal Council. The Mayor is elected by township voters and is the Chief Executive in charge of the administrative functions of the town. The Township Council is elected at-large by the entire community. The elected officials are to serve a four year term.
