To the west is Philadelphia. A short 20 minute drive away, township residents have access to fine art, culture, and history that is the birthplace of our nation. And to the east, only 50 minutes away, is Atlantic City, the country's north-east entertainment mecca.

Washington Township is also proud to present many quality restaurants for every particular taste, from fast foods to those eating establishments providing exceptional ambiance and all, reasonably priced
Many of the Township’s restaurants have liquor licenses although those restaurants must have at least seating for 75 patrons. The quality of establishments has been enhanced and preserved by a strict Township alcoholic consumption ordinance which requires that food must be served in order to qualify for a State license.
The Township has several catering rooms, with seating in excess of 450 persons. The vast majority of restaurants are located along Route 42 which is the State’s major highway through the community. Many of the Township's Restaurants have been featured the "Philadelphia Magazine" as well as other "best dining spots" publications throughout the area. Washington Township is number one in Gloucester County.
Washington Township itself is home to the Washington Township Center for Performing Arts. The Center for Performing Arts features an indoor 2,500 seat auditorium and has seen performances from major performers like David Copperfield, Anne Murray, Tom Chapin, The Charlie Daniels Band, Kenny Rogers, and many more.

Concerts and Events
The Township hosts one of the most robust movie, concert andevent schedules in the region. The concert in the park series is a favorite among many and the Township’s very successful Super Saturday and WineFestival events draw crowds from within and outside the Township.
