What is hazardous waste?
curve slider image
Hazardous Waste is items that need disposal that can not be thrown out with normal trash collection. These items must be dropped off at the County  yard for disposal on the designated days. There are four drop off days throughout the year at two different locations, one in Clayton and one in South Harrison.  Putting hazardous waste in regular trash collection will result in toxic emissions released into the environment,  serious burns to employees and/or fires. Items that are included in hazardous waste include but are not limited to ; oil based paint, rechargeable batteries, cleaners and florescent light bulbs.
