Mayor Gattinelli, Washington Township Council and Administration are please to share the news with residents that once again Washington Township has been issued from Moody's a strong credit rating for "notable credit factors include a healthy financial position, a strong wealth and income profile, and a large tax base. The township's credit position also reflects a low debt burden and a moderate pension liability.  The township has a healthy financial position that is consistent with its assigned rating of Aa2."  According to Moody's, the purpose of its ratings is to "provide investors with a simple system of gradation by which future relative creditworthiness of securities may be gauged".

Moody's Investors Service is the bond credit rating business of Moody's Corporation, representing the company's traditional line of business and its historical name.
