Gloucester County's Intern Scholarship Program

Each year, Gloucester County awards 25 full tuition and fee scholarships to high school seniors choosing to attend Rowan College of South Jersey. Freeholder Lynman Barnes, Liaison to Education, is committed to building awareness of this opportunity for students in Gloucester County. Through the Gloucester County Intern Scholarship Program (ISP), not only do these students receive a FREE education, but they also benefit from professional workforce experience consistent with their interest and abilities.

Through ISP, internships are available for all majors. Areas of study in the past have included:

  • Arts & Sciences
  • Business Administration
  • Criminal Justice
  • Health Science
  • Nursing
  • Radio/TV/Film
  • Actuarial Science
  • Chemistry
  • Equine Science
  • Pre-law
  • Biology
  • Computer Information Systems
  • Graphic Design
  • Social Work
 Completing an online general scholarship application on RCSJ's website at RCSJ.edu/ISP is required. Student eligibility is as follows:

  • Be a current high school senior ranked in the top 25% of their class or have a minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Must be at least 18 years of age before September 15th, before the start of the fall semester
  • Enroll for the fall semester at RCSJ in a full-time course of study
  • Be a permanent Gloucester County resident (Parents/guardians and students) established by the College at the time of high school graduation and upon college enrollment
